I want to share my favorite places, shops and markets with you. If you are planning to go to Shanghai I suggest you to read this article.

CLOTHES, SHOES, SILK DUVETS, ETC
Fake MarketNan Jing Road 580
This is the well known fake market in Shanghai. You can find the copies of the most luxurious brands in this market. Bags, shoes, dresses, watches, belts etc. You can also buy green tea, souvenirs, table cloths, cushion covers, pearls as well. If you love shopping don't miss this famous market. And don't forget to bargain!
Prices from the market
Fabric handbags starts from 50 RMB goes up to 100 RMB. Leather handbags are between 100-1000 RMB. Depends on the brand and quality of course. For a luggage the minimum price I have paid is 80 RMB. For the big size 200 RMB.
Hunter boots are 100-200 RMB, Converse 50-70 RMB, Tory Burch 100-200 RMB, UGG boots 80-150 RMB. The fake watches starts from 100 RMB. Chinese tea sets 60, chopsticks 10, scarves 15, cushion covers 30 and fridge magnets are around 5 RMB.
Science and Technology Museum Fake Market This fake market is under the Science and Technology Museum in Pudong. Almost the same products and prices with Nan Jing Road fake market.
Hong Qiao International Pearl City

Fabric Market

The fabric market on Lujiabang Road is a tailoring paradise!
This 3 storey market is the right address for tailor made shirts, dresses, suits, jeans etc.
These are my favorite shops: For the silk blouses 3rd floor #360. If you want a copy of your favorite blouse in different color & pattern this is the right address. Blouses 250-300 RMB, dresses around 400 RMB.
For cashmere jackets, coats and suits 1st floor #163. Coats 500 RMB, suits 600 RMB. For the evening gown 2nd floor #252. Nancy does really good job. And she has got silk, chiffon and satin fabric in many colors and patterns. Short dresses 500, long ones are around 600 RMB.
For the qipao (Chinese dress); first floor #182, 190. It's on the far right side of the first floor. Opposite of this shop you will see the small gift shop. Silk qipao for 300-400 RMB.
If you want to buy silk duvet, pillow etc go across the building. First floor #29 Anny is the best. Silk duvets starts from 260 RMB and the pillows starts from 120 RMB. For the cotton bedding you have to pay at least 400 RMB and the silk ones are around 600 RMB.
Nan Jing West Road, Huai Hai Road, Shanxi Road, Julu Road and the Fuxing road... Go there and discover the hundreds of small shops selling shoes, dresses, bags etc.
FURNITURE
Hu & HuCaoBao road 1885, #8
If you like Chinese antique furniture don't miss Hu & Hu! In this huge warehouse you'll definitely find something else. Big cabinets 4000-11.000, small cabinets 2000-5000 and the TV cabinets are around 1500-3000 RMB.

It's a very very huge warehouse full off thousands pieces of furniture. It's better to go with a torch because it's not easy to see the furnitures behind.
FLOWER MARKETS & KITCHEN STUFF
Hongqiao Flower Market
Hongjing Road 718
One of the best flower market in Shanghai. Full of orchids, lilies, roses... 15-20 RMB for an orchid or 8-10 RMB for lilies.
You can also find many shops selling kitchen stuff and home accessories.
Changshou Flower Market
Changshou Road 1148
A very big market full of real and the fake flowers. They also have wholesale. So it's cheaper than the Hongqiao Flower Market.

This huge market sells a wide range of hotel and dining equipment including glassware, kitchen appliances, serving dishes etc. Chinese and international brands can be found here.
Luban Road 288
The six story market is the right place in Shanghai for all your photography needs. The first two floors are packed with shops selling big brand names like Nikon, Canon, Sony etc. The other floors are good for second hand cameras, accessories and books about photography.
Cao'an Road 1618
Made to order silk duvets, custom made sheets, cushions, soft furnishing for kids, re-upholstery fabric, curtains, etc... This is right right address for almost everything! :)
Make sure you get a business card from any stall which you've ordered something so you can find it again.
It'a an ultimate destination for buying fashion accessories and trims.
Walking down the narrow streets of Tianzi Fang you'll discover the shops selling very Chinese style accessories, chic cafes and the art galleries.
This is the right address for cheap kids clothes and toys. Sometimes you have to dig around for the good quality and the size. Some vendors sell well known brands such as Ralph Lauren, Gap etc. Don't forget to bargain!!

LIGHTING MARKETS
Tianlin Dong Road 285. This big lighting market is behind the IKEA. There are many shops selling lamps and lighting stuff. Some of them has got nice designer lamps. Do bargain!
Liu Ying Road 135. Almost same as Tianlin Dong Road.
HAIRDRESSER SUPPLY
Guangdong Road
The whole area is a wholesale hairdresser supply district. Hair dryer, comb, files, nail polish and more!
BOOK STORES
Fuzhou Road
The street is known for bookstores and art stores selling materials for Western and Chinese arts and crafts.

Puan Road 10This is the right address for cheap kids clothes and toys. Sometimes you have to dig around for the good quality and the size. Some vendors sell well known brands such as Ralph Lauren, Gap etc. Don't forget to bargain!!
